Lenna Andrews is a multi-media artist and instructor who lives in Connecticut with her husband Steven Deming, and their sweet little dog Asia. She loves to create art, teach classes ~ both online and in person, participate in, and organize various art exchanges, write articles for publication, all while striving to appreciate the huge variety of things life presents us with. A favorite quote of Lenna's is: "True wisdom lies in gathering the precious things out of each day as it goes by." Over the past 15 years Lenna has gained a lot of experience teaching and has added a huge variety of classes to her repertoire. She is considered by her students to be talented, kind, generous, encouraging, organized, fun, and sharing of her materials and time.

Lenna grew up dancing, drawing, painting, sewing, and was always doing something 'creative'. She became known during the early 1990's for her fabric stamping and was featured in the article, It's a Fabric Thing! published in RubberStampMadness, March/April 1997. Over the last 10 years, Lenna Andrews has been published many times in books and magazines. You'll find Lenna's ATC art as the front cover of Expression Magazine - May/June 2005. Lenna's silk scarf was also published on the front cover of the book: New Techniques for Wearable Art in 2004. Two of Lenna's Fabric books can be found in the book, The Art of Fabric Books, published in 2005.

1 day workshop - Saturday Oct 20

Material fee : $10.00 - Payable to Artist

Create 8 ATCs on a theme and a wonderful little fabric book to keep them in.
This 4 x 5" book features a fabric collage image on the front cover and some easy-to-do (but impressive) silk ribbon embroidery. Whether you are new to ATCs or you’ve been making them on your own, you’ll love this class for the ideas we’ll share and what we’ll use to create these miniature works of art that we turn into a little book! Collage images and image transparencies will be featured, and you'll create Artist Trading Cards with easy backgrounds including: Sparking H2O’s, watercolor crayons, paper napkins, scrapbook paper & gold scrap borders. We’ll make most of our Artist Trading Cards in the morning. After a break we’ll spend the afternoon finishing them and creating this fun little book out of fabric.
