Growing up with an artistic mother, I was inspired to create from a young age. She taught me how to sew and provided me with paper and art supplies along with encouragement to nurture my creative juices.

In my late teens I had a passion for oil painting. Over the years I just loved to find odd things and create whatever came to my head. My favorite has always been to create gifts for others. When the shabby chic style came about I practiced painting roses until the paint actually resemble one. From there I became a decorative painter, painting old wood windows, furniture, buckets, you name it.

Though all of these creative endeavors sparked my interest, it really wasn't until I found the world of mixed media that really excited my heart for creating. From the very beginning, Art Dolls captured my interest. For me they just tickle me pink, as each take on their own personality. I have sold most of them and feel I'm a little adoption agency finding them good homes. It truly pleases my heart.

Fabric is another passion of mine. I have collected vintage laces for many years. My grandmother passed on to me many of her treasures. I love to create fun and free looking fabric collages. With my love for found objects, I discovered they mix well with dainty little laces, fabrics and fibers.
