I am a self-taught polymer clay artist, with twenty-five plus years experience. My love for the arts came from my father a native of Puerto Rico who is also a self- taught artist. From a very young age, he fueled my passion for the arts. As an artist I live in a changing world were new methods and techniques continually stimulate and challenge my skills and sensitivity, I never know what will happen next. My work reverberates with hidden meaning and comes from what I call the "intuitive side of thought".

For me it seems that I can never recall a time in my life when I was not doing something creative. As a child, drawing on the walls or someone else's homework was my way of self-expression although it often got misinterpret. Everything I see in life I subconsciously run through my mind as to how I can alter it or give it "new life".

Therefore, as a lover of the arts you can understand when I say, 'my eyes are the palate that drives my soul which in turn inspires my heart to motivate my hands to release the art I hold within me".

My ideas often come to me out of no were and quite often in my daydreams and they seem to continually haunt me until I take the time to draw them out and bring them to life. It is because of that I never leave my home without my artist book in hand.

Many years ago, I came upon artist Maureen Carlson, for those of you who are not familiar with her she is one the first "master" of polymer clay. Since then I was, hooked and although my base medium is polymer clay, my art background encompasses numerous mediums.

I have taught many people, from children to adults. I truly enjoy teaching people on all levels of abilities. I want people to feel relax and just have fun. I have a great compassion for people and I strive to bring out the unique artistic ability in everyone. My goals in teaching are "to help you build your confidence as to not feel intimidated by the clay, the tools used or the process itself". I will do whatever it takes to make you laugh, have fun and learn. In conclusion you will have accepted the challenge and come out the other side with a product you will be proud of.

I have had several of my works of art published in the Polymer CAFÉ magazine as well as the Goddess Project.

One of my past employment was for a sexual assault center as a Latino advocate.
During which time I designed and implemented an art therapy project for sexual assault survivors named "Take Off The Mask". I have since left the agency. However due to the projects success and high demand, it continues to be offered. It has not only crossed bearers with all different types of people but a vast variety of institutions as well. The project details and to how to implement it continues to be taught to other professionals within like fields of work. Therefore, I am happy to share with my like-minded artist that "the healing through the expression of art continues" giving people of assault an ability to move beyond the pain.

So come on and join me in a day or weekend of fun and relaxation with like mined people. I look forward to meeting you all.
